What Is Mirah Nagasu's Tattoo

MIRAI NAGASU became only the third woman and first American to land a triple axel in Olympic competition.

Only information technology was the 'tattoo' on her leg during her Winter Olympics routine that sent social media into a frenzy.

Nagasu made some figure skating history, accomplishing her rare feat just 21 seconds into the women's free skate.

She was the get-go of the five women to skate and led her routine with the triple axel.

But rather than praise the athlete for her stellar showing, the marking on her leg was the almost-talked about signal.

People asked whether it was an actual tattoo, while others suggested it could exist a 'bandage'.

Others were left "confused" as to what the "The states" mark was on her upper thigh.

But the woman herself revealed it was "definitely non a big bold tattoo" on a Twitter posting, -  it was in fact Kinesio Record, with the make confirming on its own Twitter business relationship.

This is used to provide pain relief to athletes.
Speaking subsequently her impressive performance, Nagasu said: "Going into information technology, I was like a railroad train and I was like, 'Get on the tracks and get some speed.

Nagasu had landed triple axels in previous competitions, but never in such a pressure level-packed situation equally the Olympic stage.

She joined Japan'southward Midori Ito and Mao Asada as the simply women to land triple axels during the Olympics.
